Representative Kirk Hatcher AnnouncesBid for State Senate District 26
Montgomery, AL-Today, at the Court Square Fountain, Representative Kirk Hatcher announced his bid for State Senate District 26 for the November 17, 2020, special election.
As a native Montgomerian Representative Hatcher understands the struggles many people face in Montgomery. The son of a single-parent mother, his mother worked for many years as a skilled and talented tailor—eventually opening her own tailor shop 27 years ago. A woman whose work ethic, loving spirit, and consistent active desire to serve others, shaped his life and work.
Representative Hatcher has FAITH in a few things. He has Faith that we can change the politics of Alabama. He has Faith to know that our people are sick of the same-old, same-old from politicians. He has Faith that our best days can be ahead of us and not behind. He has Faith that we can have world-class schools and a thriving business community, and he has Faith that the time has come for something better for our people.
But to get there we have to BUILD. We have to build a team that reflects the best of who we are. We have to begin building our vision now because we cannot lose another generation of Alabamians. We have to build it the right way and not the easy way - big problems don’t get solved overnight. We have to build, brick by brick, book by book, and business by business, because there are no shortcuts and the hard work, will pay off for us.
The future of District 26 and Montgomery is better when we focus on what draws us together, not what tears us apart. We’re fighting for our future, we’re fighting for a better and brighter tomorrow for all, and we’re fighting for a strong vision that leads us well into the next decade.
